Altruistic Award Applications
The Altruistic Award was created by the Illinois Executive Board on January 21, 1978. It was voted that each biennium money is to be taken from the altruistic profits and divided equally among the three districts for a charitable project in each district. Currently the amount is $400 for each district. The award is made directly to the project. It is the responsibility of the District Vice President to: 1. Elicit suggestions from each chapter in the district 2. Serve as a facilitator for selecting the project It is suggested that the recipient: 1. Strives to meet the needs of the people 2. Serves a large area within the district 3. May be supported by the chapter recommending the project.
